His great-grandpa, Sylvan Stepp, started manufacturing asphalt maintenance equipment in 1942 and opened Stepp Manufacturing. Decades later, the Stepp family is still known for asphalt equipment, processes, products, and hands-on industry knowledge.

    Ty reviews the condition of the asphalt, including fading, cracks, potholes, edges, oil spots, dirt-filled holes, and areas that may need extra preparation.

    Konseal starts by edging and preparing the driveway or parking lot — removing dirt and debris, scrubbing dirt-filled holes, and addressing oil or fluid spots.

    Blow Off the Surface

    Once the surface is cleaned and prepped, the driveway or parking lot is blown off so the area is ready for crack sealing and sealcoat application.

    Seal the Cracks

    Cracks are sealed using industrial hot rubber applied at 425°F to help keep water from infiltrating the asphalt and causing bigger cracks.

    Apply the Sealcoat

    Sealcoat is applied using squeegee brushes or spraying, depending on the size of the project and the customer's preference.

    Tape Off and Cure
